The Superhero 5K Race & Fun Run/Family Day is a themed family friendly event created to raise awareness and support for foster children in Palm Beach County. The 5K will be a timed race and include awards for the Male/Female Overall Winners, Male/Female Master Winners & Male/Female Grand Master Winners. In addition Age Group Awards will be given to the top 3 Male/Female in each 5 year age group. Racers receive a commemorative T-shirt and finishers medal. The event will be held at John Prince Park, Lake Worth at the Center Pavilion. Not a runner? Join us for the walk. Walkers receive a commemorative T-Shirt.
There are plenty of things for the family to do beyond the race including; Spidey Climb, bounce houses, face painting, Home Depot Crafts and more. Back by popular demand will be the delicious $5 pancake breakfast, raffle & silent auction.
Friends of Foster Children is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Friends of Foster Children’s mission and vision is to nurture the lives of foster children in Palm Beach County and transform their lives through services, support and education in order to overcome the effects of child abuse and neglect, so they can experience a healthy, happy childhood and become productive members of society.
