Subject: 2017 Membership
Greetings from the Membership Committee of FSFAPA:
Every licensed foster parent, relative, non-relative caregiver, and adoptive parent in the state of Florida is automatically entitled to the benefits provided by the Florida State Foster/Adoptive Parents Association (FSFAPA). These benefits include mini conferences offered each quarter in various parts of the state, participation in Advocacy Day in Tallahassee where we advocate for the families we serve, an Annual Educational Conference where over 300 parents attend. This is a great opportunity to meet and network with other parents. FSFAPA Board and Regional Vice President’s advocate on your behalf statewide and locally. They are involved in workgroups and initiatives designed to improve the care system in Florida. FSFAPA has also designed and maintain the Foster Allegation Support Team (FAST) program to help in the event of an abuse allegation. Our FAST coordinator is available to offer guidance and support during this difficult time.
So why should you pay membership dues if you receive all of this for free? A dues-paid member is eligible to vote on issues and concerns and participate in the election process. It also provides financial support for FSFAPA as we work around the clock for you and your entire family.
We will be asking everyone to mail in the completed renewals/membership applications this year or bring them to the next Quarterly meeting! Please complete and return with payment to: PO Box 970384, Miami, Fl 33197
Please help support FSFAPA and remember Hand in Hand, Together We Can be the difference in a child’s life!
