
Daniel C. Remchuk
Danny is a passionate advocate for adoption. He was adopted at the age of 1 by his parents (who also adopted 2 children prior to Danny), his late wife was also adopted through medical foster care, and he is the adoptive parent of Cameron, who is 14 years old and adopted from Uganda in 2011.
Danny was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida where he met his wife Kristin in school. They were married in 1999 and moved to Sarasota in 2006. They were happily married until Kristin’s untimely passing in 2017 from cardiac arrest while on vacation as a family in New York City to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Danny spent 18 years teaching middle and high school, while also spending 8 of those years as an adjunct professor of Mathematics and Humanities at the University of Phoenix. He then pursued a career in child welfare, working for the last 10 years between the Safe Children Coalition in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties, the State of Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, and private adoption organizations. He has served as an adoption specialist, adoption facilitator, trainer for both Adoption Competency courses and adoptive parenting courses, as well as a mentor for new adoption workers. He is currently an Adoption Connector with the Selfless Love Foundation since 2023. Danny has facilitated 144 adoptions in his career
Danny has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education and has current CWCM certification through the Florida Certification Board. In his free time, he loves to travel, go out to eat, see movies, and spend time with his son.
