Manatee County FAPA November Meeting & Training

ZOOM Virtual Event

Please join us on Zoom as we welcome Rachel Woolley from ALSO Youth. Rachel is a former Manatee County language arts teacher with a love of reading and the written word! She has lived in Bradenton for 8 years and have two rescue dogs from local shelters. She joined ALSO Youth in late March of this year and is eager to use her skills and abilities to further the message of their organization. The mission of ALSO Youth is to empower LGBTQ+ youth and their allies and create inclusive communities. They offer two drop-in centers in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, which serve as a safe place for kiddos and young adults to foster relationships, personal and professional skills, and the evolution of identity.

Join us to pick up a backpack full of school supplies for children from VPK through High School!  Enjoy lunch and some fun activities with fellow foster and adoptive families after children have selected their favorite backpack and water bottle for the upcoming school year. We are excited to welcome back the Education Team from The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art for fun art activities, The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee's Book Bus as well as some special costumed guests from Costumers with a Cause! We can accommodate up to 100 children per hour of the event, so please be sure to complete one registration for each child in your family (foster, adopted and bio children are all included).  Children not yet in VPK are surely welcome to join you, but you do not need to register them for the event, since they do not yet need school supplies.
